'''Warden Montag''' is a character from [[Strife]]. He is the commander of the prison which the player must visit early in the game in order to free a large number of peasants held captive by [[The Order]]. The in-game dialogue makes him out to be somewhat sadistic; he has no problem torturing his prisoners or cooperating with hideous experiments if it furthers The Order's goals. Within the level in which the player encounters him, he has no real dialogue with the player and serves little purpose - talking to him immediately sets off the alarms within the compound (all he does is taunt you, then call for the guards). His main function in the game is to serve as a small part of the backstory and provide a needed key when killed.
