This needs a rewrite, since some paragraphs are almost word for word from the bio on his web page. Ryan W 23:48, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
- Should it mention that he has been missing since late 2004? Nobody knows what happened to him, he just dropped off the face of the earth. --Quasar 06:29, February 13, 2010 (UTC)
Is the mention of him being under investigation by the FBI and owing John Romero $10,000 serious, or a deadpan joke? It seems odd that he would owe John Romero anything (unless e.g. he was paid a tonne of cash to design some levels and then just vanished). I suppose we'll never know. -Ashley Pomeroy 19:41, July 10, 2010 (UTC)
- While I'm at it a John Anderson, calling himself "Dr Sleep" and living near Pittsburgh, reviewed a few things for Amazon.com in 2006, post-dating his 2004 vanishment. In fact the first review is of Doom, the film, and the text mentions his level designing past. -Ashley Pomeroy 19:50, July 10, 2010 (UTC)
- And there's this John W Anderson, who wrote a television screenplay and a book about breast cancer, and who pops up in this article in the New York Times, but although they are conceptually similar - married, kids, writer, not afraid of technology or being in the newspaper - they don't seem to be the same man. -Ashley Pomeroy 20:10, July 10, 2010 (UTC)
- The person, "Dr Sleep", who edited this article is most likely not Dr Sleep. I don't think John Romero would lie (or if he was joking, it would have been indicative) about Dr Sleep owning money. It's just a little peculiar that Dr Sleep would give off where he's located after all these years and pretend that what John Romero said is without merit. For someone who has inexplicably desurfaced one year, it's also peculiar that he would simply edit a wiki article, claiming he's alive and well. Why not explain his disappearance? Why didn't he address this owing money issue directly? He didn't acknowledge it. I call BS from this "Dr Sleep". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.254.236.120 (talk)
- Listen, maybe he doesn't have time and energy for that pesky arguing stuff. I believe it was DrSleep because his IP comes from Pennsylvania, at same location where he lived before if you read his blogs and his profile at blogger shows it. So it is very possible it was either him or someone from his family. When he didn't login once when he edited the novel mention to epic poem correctly, you can see his IP in there. So it really was real DRsleep in my opinion, but maybe he doesn't want to come back reveal himself becuase of jerks like you mister.
