There is a whole lot wrong with this page. Whoever originally wrote it has put in a lot of misinformation and borderline misinformation.
"There is little depth to the story behind this location, but still many vague references to it. The apparitions of past soldiers are revealed to the Doom Slayer, and historical references show the Doom Slayer standing as a sort of leader or final-solution among these guardians."
This passage needs refinement. 1.) The Argent D'Nur solders are explicitly termed Night Sentinels. Might as well use their repeatedly mentioned title in the in-game codex. 2.) The THEORY is that the Doom Slayer was a leader among the Night Sentinels, but in point of fact, the one and only explicitly stated connection between Slayer and the Sentienls is in Doom Slayer Testament I, which describes him as wearing a crown of the Night Sentinels. And that's it. That is the one and only directly stated connection between Doom Slayer and the Sentinels. Do I think Doom Slayer is indeed a former NIght Sentinel? Yes. Just saying, though, that it's not actually been 'shown' anywhere in the game. As for this "final-solution" thing, that just appears to be an idea pulled out of nowhere by this wiki writer.
"It is unknown whether Argent D'Nur was a technologically advanced human civilization that was wiped out by Hell's armies, or some other advanced species that were wiped out by largely unknown methods."
The method is explicitly known. A 'Hell priest' was led to each sleeping 'Wraith' (more on that later) by a 'Betrayer' amongst the Night Sentinels (speculated to be Doom Slayer, but only that -- speculated), and corrupted / enslaved them to serve Hell. This then allowed Hell to sucessfully invade and absorb Argent D'Nur.
"The Well is clearly a source of infinite power in Hell, and it seemed to be fed by the cursed bodies of these necromancers which you are freeing during the section "Argent D'Nur".
Those creatures freed by the Crucible in the game's last level are not 'necromancers'. They are 'Wraiths', and they were both deified and feared by Argent D'Nur. The Night Sentinels purpose was to both protect these sleeping monsters and guard against them. In-game codex entries make it very clear they were not political leaders of Argent D'Nur, but rather dangerous, elemental forces of power that are the source of Argent energy. Argent D'Nur's civilization found a way to calm them and tap their Argent energy for their own purposes, and Hell was unable to conquer Argent D'Nur until they were able to subvert the Wraiths and exploit their Argent energy for themselves.
I don't think the original writer of this wiki page ever read all the in-game codex entries unlocked while playing the game's last level. I'm not sure, but I think this confusion with 'necromancers' is something he/she has incorrectly extrapolated from a codex entry concerning Titan's Core or Necropolis.
