The Timeline page mentions an Alpha that was never released. Alpha V0.2 skips to V0.4, so what happened to the V0.3 in-between? Or was there no version of this? ConCass 23:42, March 23, 2012 (UTC)

Why should we merge this with Versions of Doom and Doom II? This article is specificaly about Alpha versions; whereas that article is about versions of the finished game, not Alpha versions. There's no point in mergeing this article with something that's only slightly related to the subject. ConCass 11:01, April 1, 2012 (UTC)

Latest revision as of 11:01, 1 April 2012

The wikipedia article Doom says these versions were leaked, not "released".  Can anyone confirm this?  (The "sanctioning" part is probably true, as it is mentioned in the BFG FAQ.)    Ryan W 06:16, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

Hmmm, the idgames pages say that id gave their blessing, so no, I guess it's not true.    Ryan W 11:43, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

Merge into Doom versions

This piece would fit like aglove as part of the soon-to-be Doom versions article giving a brief overview of the changes in all versions of the game. — The preceding unsigned comment was added by Who is like God? (talkcontribs) .

 • Merge; it seems a simpler way to organize.    Ryan W 18:19, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
I've added the approximate information on this page to Versions of Doom and Doom II, which itself still needs more work, of course. I believe this can go "bye bye" now. Any objections? Who is like God? 06:53, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

Should I redirect?

Can I redirect this article to Versions of Doom and Doom II? This article seems to duplicate content from there. Fangusu 14:25, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

Six months with no objections lodged, can be undone by any editor, and the destination article has explicitly been checked (as above) to see that no information was lost.  Sounds reasonable to me.    Ryan W 18:36, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

Merge (yes, again)

Can I -once and for all- merge this into Versions of Doom and Doom II? --Kyano 22:01, September 27, 2010 (UTC)

Why not? --Gez 12:32, December 20, 2010 (UTC)

Alpha V0.3?

The Timeline page mentions an Alpha that was never released. Alpha V0.2 skips to V0.4, so what happened to the V0.3 in-between? Or was there no version of this? ConCass 23:42, March 23, 2012 (UTC)

Why Merge?

Why should we merge this with Versions of Doom and Doom II? This article is specificaly about Alpha versions; whereas that article is about versions of the finished game, not Alpha versions. There's no point in mergeing this article with something that's only slightly related to the subject. ConCass 11:01, April 1, 2012 (UTC)
