This level can be described in two words: absolute hell. Early on it is simple, fighting only some Imps and Arch-Viles, but once you teleport to the Final Boss's room, you will see why this is absolute hell. Some of the best doom players have extreme difficulty defeating the Boss, so don't be surprised if you take a very long time to beat him.

===Essentials===
You begin with a Super Shotgun and a Box of Shells in front of you, and an Arch-Vile behind you, fortunately facing away. Grab the goods, and blast the Arch-Vile to bits. Grab the Berserk Pack if you need, then proceed down the cave, fighting a pair of Imps and another Arch-Vile. The cave repeats this 5 times, until you get back to the room you started in. A wall will lower, revealing about 20 Imps, a teleporter, and a Pump Shotgun. Kill the Imps and step on the teleporter. You will be facing a door, with an Imp on the other side, and a switch behind you. Hit the switch, open the door, frag the imp, and grab the weapons and Megasphere in the small room the Imp was in. In the center is a pool of lava, which is a teleporter. You will teleport into a large oval-shaped room, with a bunch of lifts acting like spread out stairs leading to a Cyberdemon with two bars blocking your way up. On the other side of the room is a large pillar, which gets narrower in the center, surrounded by three pillars with Arch-Viles on them, and the three Skull Keys on them. Also, there are Energy Cell Packs scattered everywhere in the room, with some silver panels on them. The pillar is actually the Final Boss. Go ahead, taunt him all you want, but by the time he starts shooting out monsters, you will see why this level is absolute hell. He spits out about a dozen Monster Cubes at once, so, as fast as you can, Kill the Arch-Viles, grab the keys, and head back to where you teleported in the room. If you fall off, you can lower the lifts the Arch-Viles are on, but it is extremely unlikely you will even come remotely close to beating the level. Back at the start, fire your BFG at the Cyberdemon and do not stop! He will fire Rockets at you, but they won't hit you. When he is dead or you are low on health, open the door behind you, followed by another door, and another door, revealing a switch and a Megasphere. Hit the switch and run up to where the Cyberdemon was. If you fall, the lift closest to him will lower and rise back up, so get on it. If you get to the platform where the Cyberdemons was, hit the switch, which will reveal a part of the Final Boss on the pillar. Shoot a pair of Rockets, or more just to be safe, and thank the Gods that you were lucky enough to survive.
