MAP09: Abattoire [sic] is the ninth map of The Plutonia Experiment. It uses the music track "Deep Into The Code" from Doom. Abattoir is a French word that means slaughterhouse. The e at the end of the level name is a typo.
Walkthrough[]
At the start, collect shells from the long path, then go to North-east where there is a Super Shotgun, by stepping over the pad, lower the lift to underground and go to the Teleporter.
You will arrive to the hiding place, go the stairs at the edge and click both switches left and right to enable access to the blue key, and the switch behind it will lower the Teleporter down.
After getting back with the blue key, go to the North-west of the main area and open the door. Click the metal switch to rise a bridge to continue. After rising go through it and to the door near the yellow one, open it and go left or right, up the stairs and run down to the yellow key.
Open the yellow key door and take the red key, the trap has a fake wall marked by metal texture. Go back to the main area and open the triple doors, step over the Teleporter (there is no way to get back).
Get close to the wooden floor that has monsters on it to lower it, there is a Soulsphere behind you with a door. Open the last brown door. And to the hard ending, run through the circular way until you find a switch, drop yourself onto it and click it, the bridge will be risen to enable the access to the exit.
Secrets[]
- From the starting area, head down the stairs and lift in the southwest. At the bottom is a room with a teleport surrounded by several lion-faced columns. Instead of teleporting, try opening the columns until you find the one that contains a soul sphere.
- At the far end of the room with the two crushers is a raised platform with two skull switches on it. Press both switches, one which reveals the blue keycard and one which raises a bridge to it. There are three red openings in the wall on the far side of the bridge. The easily reachable center opening holds the blue key, of course. The outer openings (which are circuitous with one another) lead to a secret area. Simply run into either from the raised bridge.
