Gore nest

A gore nest

Gore nests are encountered in Doom. They have to be cleared to remove lockdowns of certain areas in the game.[1] Disposing of one involves ripping a heart-like node out of the singular glowing sac on its side and crushing it, resulting in the nest screaming in agony and usually calling hordes of demons to attack the player.
