Battlemode is a game-mode available in Doom Eternal. It is a 2v1 battle experience in which two playable demons face off against one fully loaded Slayer in a best-of-five round-based brawl. Both sides are able to select one upgrade at the end of each round to improve their abilities, such as decreasing cooldown time between tactical moves or increasing the number of health pickups enemies drop.
The Slayer wins a round if both demons die, whereas the Demons win if the Slayer dies. However, demons are able to respawn (with half of their health), if their teammate remains alive for a long enough period of time.
Completing Battlemode matches provides Event XP, which can be used to unlock event-specific cosmetics and level up sets.
There are currently five playable demons, although more may be added in the future.
